Protocol

Manners

1. Use of the common salute/greeting (S!) is expected in relevant situations. All respects and courtesies will be extended to both Axis and Enemy pilots.

General

1. The use of swearing, degrading or derogatory comments, and the use of spamming will not be tolerated under any circumstance!

2. Read, remember, and adhere to the rules of JG5. If you are unfamiliar, or do not completely understand a rule, ask Jerry for an explanation of that rule. Do not ask another pilot, because that pilot also may be misinterpreting the rule. A full list of rules is avaialble after a successful application

Meetings

A. Every pilot is encouraged to take part in our weekly training drills. These usually take place on Wednesday nights.

Recruitment

A. All recruits must firstly go through several short test combat flights against a senior member of JG5.

B. The first test flight will be administered by Jerry, or designated to a suitable subordinate pilot. This flight is to test different forms of combat flying.

C. If the applicant is deemed to be suitable for JG5, Jerry will then administer a second test flight. This second flight is the same as the first in its objectives.

D. If Jerry agrees that the applicant is suitable for JG5, he will recommend the applicant and give the Jagdgescwhader his contact information (e-mail and/or ICQ) and other acquired data, which will go on the JG5 website. That pilot will be assigned to a Staffel.

E. The accepted applicants will be assigned the rank of Gefreiter and should choose their callsign.

Pilot Web Pages

1. All pilots will at some point be given access to their own (secure) personal pilot page which will contain information about them and their activities in JG5.

2. The following should be submitted to Jerry:

Your JG5 callsign (e.g. 'Jerry' - the use of cliches, such as 'DeathFromAbove', 'DeathBringer', etc. will be laughed at but not tolerated or considered).
Your name.
Your e-mail address.
Your geographic location (city, county, etc.).
Your age.
Your ICQ number (if you have one).
You are required to make sure that all information displayed on your pilot page is up to date.

JG5 Secure Site

A secure site is available to pilots of JG5 to log and track their pilot career. Pilots are responsible for uploading reports of missions and can view statistics ranging from their own (confirmed) personal tally, to other pilots or even the whole Jagdgeschwader.
