A new pilot joined JG5 late last year - S! JaRa! Some promotions and slight changes to the personnel structure of both II/5.JG5 and III/7.JG5 have also been made.
JG5 also claimed it's 100th on-line victory last month.

The Combat section of this site now contains a list of JG5's on-line victories to date.The Unit History section is now made up of two pages, the second of which details actual combat reports from JG5 during WW2.

3 new additions to the JG5 pilot roster have been made since this site was last updated. S! to Kilroy, Leonnel, and Waldo. Also, Volt and DarkHelmet have been promoted to the rank of Oberfeldwebel (Ofw.). Some pilots have also been re-assigned to 7./JG5, and so we now have two active Staffel.

Several weeks ago 2 new pilots joined JG5 - S! to both Fox and Manduca. Each JG5 pilot now has their own page, which will contain more info about Combat Mission scores, etc. in future. The images of the pilot's favoured aircraft are virtual models made using 3DS Max and Photoshop.

I'm pleased to welcome WrangleWolf to JG5 - he joined us on the 17th. The Links section has also been updated. This section will have some more links added as soon as possible. I also may get rid of the site hit counter as it's very unreliable. We've actually had 3433 hits so far since the counter was set up, but the damn thing keeps resetting itself every once in a while...

Another pilot was recently added to the ranks of 5/JG5 - welcome DarkHelmet! I've also redone the layout of the Skins section and am glad to announce that several are now available for download.

A new pilot joined JG5 on the 17th - welcome Fastbikkel! Glad to have you on board. That evening was also the first time Emil and I took on 2 other players as a Rotte. They decided to fly P-47C's against our Bf109E's, but quit out after being shot down or crashing several times. An interesting fight nonetheless!

Okay - I've given in and got one of those message boards ;-). It seems pretty fast and uncluttered, and I hope people will stop off there to discuss, debate, and chat.

This section was added today. A message board is being prepared. I hope to use one that functions similarly to the board at EAW Online. I personally dislike those message boards that have ad' banners, but will have to resort to using one if things don't go to plan ;-).

This site went on-line today. By coincidence (I didn't realise this at the time), this is also the 60th anniversary of the outbreak of WWII.
